i think it is a g trim. The guy i ordered everything from does alot of local builds and seems to know more then most. i am worried about it spooling but can live with it. I still need to buy the engine parts for my 370 once i get those i can start mocking everything up. I was thinking about just running a 02 z06 cam. i am just trying not to spend a fortune on this motor. I will do a 6 bolt engine next year forsure. I just want to get it running now.

well a bigger cam means bigger valves springs + better lifters. It adds up fast. I just want to get the car on the road. I was just going to shim a 918 spring up a little with a z06 cam and ls7 lifters

My experience with a 101-106mm Turbo is that you need 1 of 2 things with a limited cube engine. 1) Compression to spool the turbo down low. Or 2) RPM to use the boost up top for power.
I know some of the New 106mm Turbos have revised wheels to help with the spooling issue. Those turbos are not cheap at all. The older 101-106mm turbos are some slow spooling suckers, but when they come on line they get NASTY fast.

I need a place to find good rods and pistons for not a fortune. I think i am going to do a custom grind cam and some good springs now. I just found out how much stainless 5inch bends cost... this stuff isnt cheap

I would still be worried about the stock crank, I am more of the type to try and do things only once though so I don't have to pay again.

i am not really looking to make more then 850-950rwhp though a glide. If I build this motor I will just sell it after I am done with it. I have a perfect 6.0 block and crank already i just need some internals. MAybe compustar rods and wiesco pistons. The cam is still up in the air though

You should rethink your plan. To run a 106mm Turbo the 918's are junk.Probly a real strong dual spring or even triple spring setup is needed since you'll have to spin the car to atleast 7500rpms to use the 106mm. Our Mustang with the 106 turbo run's a 35x motor and spins to 8500rpm.Needs 350-400lbs of spring seat pressure.

You will need different springs for sure, 918's are only good for a mild setup. I would think the Z06 cam might be too small, but keep us posted on your results.... I wonder if Mike Brown ran a 362-370ci with a 101 but I'm thinking he might have ran a 98mm + 370ci... not sure.

You really dont need anythng bigger than a 91 for that power range and you still have room for another 400 hp or so.

that hp range has nothing to do with anything accept for the present. I will be pushing it hard when I do a LSX with 6 bolt heads next year. I am not going to buy a smaller turbo just to upgrade in 12 months.

Someone on here ran twin 88's on a 352ci and used a 60 shot to help spool it up... So anything is possible. That car ran in the 6's I wonder who it could be. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
How much bigger is a 101 over a gt47-88?
