Why not just stick with manifolds. Cheaper, more reliable, and they retain heat better. They seem to be fine up to 1500hp.

-anyone would admit headers look nicer too; that holds some value to me.

they are coated mild steel. Never had any cracks, they are about 3 years old now, some 2000 miles.

has anyone tried anything other than truck manifolds? I guess they would help engine breathing, especially equal-length like Mightymouse posted

Mine are super thick wall 304 stainless. We went to great lengths to make the runners as equal as possible. I know some may argue that it isn't nessasary, but I believe it has to be better to be equal. I agree that you can make 1500 hp on stock manifolds, and they work great. But I wanted to make a visual statement too! The thick wall helps retain heat like a casting does. They are extremely heavy, but a small sacrifice. Especially when Cody at LoveFab gives his manifolds a lifetime warranty on cracking. His failure rate is almost non-existent.

To anyone interested you may want to take a look at SBF 302/351 turbo headers. The exhaust port layout is exactly the same but one has to whack off the flange and put on an LS1 flange. Ask me how I know............ Hope someone finds this useful.
