oringed motors your experiences please
I want something that can run 18psi on e85 or meth without any problems and 23ish at the track. I dont want to have to pull the heads every outing.
Depending on how your o-rings are setup you may have to run a copper gasket.
My motor is o-ringed with the groves in the head, the o-rings are .018 out and require a copper gasket, wich is a head ache within itself. I have been told that if you keep them between .012 and .015 out that you can get away with a MLS gasket.
All the o-rings will do is help minimize the combustion pressure and gas from pressurizing the coolant system causing you to push water. You can still lift the heads and ruin a gasket with o-rings.
My motor has flatout copper gaskets and a healthy layer of YAMABOND to help keep the water in.
FWIW we have ran just about every head gasket combo out there and have never BLOWN a gasket. Every 4bolt head combo will push water at some point. But that being said... 90% of the people on this site would be fine running GM MLS gaskets.
All copper gaskets will still need some sort of sealant applied to them.

You shouldn't have to run that much boost for what your goals are.
