Unhappy oil just ain't for slippin................

Not saying you are wrong about the lubin part, but when the cartridge has no water application it rely's on oil flow for cooling. Had to have a couple rebuilt for that very reason, smoked them, learned my lesson through the Benjamin Franklin method

I haven't changed anything on the setup. Only thing that changed was the car sat while it was down. It's actually .063" restriction, aren't you running the same function7 piece? Running -10an return to the mocal then back to the pan.

you dont have a check valve at the turbo for the oil feed? that is your problem right there... add a check valve and see if your oil problems disappear

I agree with RooRnZ28, if there is no check valve to stop the oil from flowing into the turbo when it's sitting still...oil will just continue pouring into it. With nowhere left to go, it will pour out of the tailpipe. Also, just in case you had to disconnect it, make sure the scavenger pump isn't wired backwards. If it is it will push more oil into the turbo instead of pulling it out.

Yep, no check valve... probably exactly what it is. Will have to double check the mocal too, had to reconnect it up front to the relay, not sure if I jacked that up too. Wouldn't be surprised, it'd be just my luck! =) Thanks for all of the help!

yeah but you didn't have a check valve before...........something is amiss. I do run a 6psi check valve into the turbo.

But I also didn't run this **** out of it in the driveway either. I ran it in the country where it could've been laying down 1/2 a quart of oil over a mile. lol. Have a couple calls to make to bakersfield, people interested that want it for $14,500... sell it to them for $13,500 with a problem and call it a day.

Will a mcmaster brass medium-pressure spring-loaded check valve work? Looking at part # 7775K52 that is good to 400F, with a cracking pressure of .3psi. Figured it'd need slightly higher cracking pressure, but what do I know. What do you guys think?

Even a part # 4753K51 good to 300F, 200psi, and 1-2psi cracking. A little more expensive, not sure if it's worth it... again, what do you think? Thanks in advance!

You're right, kinda the attitude I have right now. Having a guy come by wednesday to check it out, may fix it after that and have him come get it out of my garage. One less thing he'll have to do and I'll feel better sending him on his way.
