cam choice for sts

a C5 Z06 with a twin turbo sts set up at 5 psi is said to be making 535rwhp. i dont have an LS6 cam in my car, but im sure my cam would make a little more than the LS6, but prob not by much

The OP is already making 500 to the wheels, I think he's wanting a bit more.

He is also looking for quicker spool on the turbo, and has exhausted (pun intended) every other way to get it spooling quickly other than changing the housing. Cam #2 is the cam currently in my car. I am looking at a couple different options myself.

IMO I'd throw any reverse split in the garbage over a single or traditional split.

I am using a 236/240 60x/60x 115 +3 cam in my 402 for my sts kit. The guys at texas speed made 1k rwhp with that cam. Im hoping I have some good results as well.

For that size motor I like that cam. I will have relatively close to that split in my 370 but respectively smaller for the cubes. 224/230 .595/.605 114 LSA custom by comp. Every setup is different but I like these splits for turbos, either that or single patterns. I've read allot about picking a cam and if its limted on the exhaust somewhat than aim for a traditional split, if the boost-bp pressure is arond the norm than single pattern and a really well designed/flowing system go with a reverse but I'd still go single pattern before I went reverse. JMO. This theory would heavily lean towards a forward split for a STS, if right, which the above cams mentioned would be good choices. This of course b/c the back pressure is allot higher than with a front mounted turbo.
