Default duel 2.5 inch pipe

i dont think i can fit a 4 inch with my stock k member? it it possible to split it to 2 2.5s after the turbo, would that be worth it or would a 3 or 3.5 just be fine. the pte88 has a 4inch so was trying to accommodate. would it be bad to reduce down to a 3?

Ive always though splitting into two 2.5s would be cool but like MM said most people just neck it down a little bit or Dr.Gas sell oval pipe

well mathmaticly

A 3.5" tube will outflow two 2.5" tubes
but two 2.5" tubes will out flow a 3" tube.

this is based on cross sectional area not on your setup, why....cause extra bends and tube length will all contribute to flow restriction. If all bends and tube length are going to be equal then the math stands correct, If you have to add a bunch of extra tube and bends to go with two 2.5" then the 3" will out flow them. the difference is very slim between the 3" and (2) 2.5".

I believe you can also order the pte88 with a 3" donut style flange to accommodate the smaller 3" downpipe. Contact forcedinductions.com

is a 3 inch too restrictive? i have a iron 370 and looking for 14-18 psi on a pte88. MM uses a 3,5 which i can do also, i was really wondering the range of hp a 3inch was good to

thanks again

I'm not sure on the hp range of the 3" downpipe. Backpressure might start to be a concern though with those boost levels. Maybe someone else can chime in...
