How much did you spend on all of the other parts not in the kit? Do you have a list of what you had to buy? The kit on eBay says its Stainless & looks shinny but your shows rust... any reason? Thanks for all the info so far... I wish you luck!

If you read the first few lines, it said that it wasnt his car that the kit was installed on.

the first few pics are from the original PTK test kit (which is an identical fit to this one) to show you the fit under the car.

the other pics are of the kit on his car

From what I hear of the kit, you have to elongate the front and back bolt holes on the manifold on that side.

Prolly better with a custom setup anyhow.

I also have one of the Evil-bay kits. I have a forged LS1 in a 1971 RS Camaro and no one makes a kit for this application. My choices were take the car to someone and spend 10-15K and get it back who knows when ( I had a bad experience with a friends Z06 in New Mexico for a year+) Anyway for no more coin than I spent on this kit I can afford to cut it up or whatever to make it work. I WILL BUY A BETTER TURBO!!! otherwise the stuff really looks OK welds are great etc. etc. when I get a little closer I'll post some pics of my project

my local community college has a mig class for $130, you can pick up a capable 115V Lincoln mig welder for $800.
yes when its all said and done you might not be saving money on the first project, but if you make your own parts from time to time you’ll save and be more knowable in the long run.

- exhaust
- sub frame connectors
- roll bars (wouldn’t recommend until you know for sure what your doing)
- strut towers
- adjustable pitman arms
are all things I have made very easily on a modest budget in the past.

Id imagine it is, but since its not a sponsors kit and you linked to it, i imagine this thread will now be locked.

You'd be surprised how cheap it is to build your own kit if you have time to piece a kit together. I look at my turbo setup on my bike, they want in excess of 6500 for my bike kit I have. I built it for less then 3500.

looks good but their is way too many couplers....Every coupler is a potential for a boost leak in the future and this could turn into a real pain in the ***....
