Will wrapping give the same effect (considering turbo spooling time) as coating?

i believe wrapping over something that is coated will damage the coating... but someone correct me if i am wrong.

yes you can, but you should see if they have a high temp coating that will hold heat in the best.

does coating of manifolds really make that much of a difference?

I could care less about how loud it is to be honest. I just want my turbo to spool up quicker. Did you see a noticable difference between the shorties and the stockers?

Why truck manifolds with EGR ports are not recommended?

Truck manifolds on a F body are used for front mounts. On the rear mounts they hold heat better. I dont think 6.0 manifolds will bolt up to the exhaust on a f body.

I know that
I was asking about EGR ports - sticky states that such manifolds should be avoided, I wanted to know why

finally got around to installing my coated manifolds, and it is a night and day difference! The car feels so much more responsive, and boost comes in at 30% throttle.. if i wasnt still breaking in this rear end, i would give it some WOT test runs... but from just normal driving, the powerband seems to start much much sooner and feels stronger down low.

here is a pic of my bassani ORY that is connected to the manifolds
