bringing this back up, i have now had some time driving around with the coated manifolds and a bassani ORY, and let me say that this thing is freakin LOUD. I mean, EXTREMELY LOUD! The performance is great though, this car runs so much better and spoolup is much much faster. Anyone looking to do this, just be prepared for the sound increase.

The best way i can put it is it sounds as loud as Harley D motorcycles with straight pipes, like ear splitting rasp down low!

I am now debating on ways to quiet it down, as i still drive this on the street and it is for sure a cop magnet now and i can't afford any more tickets!!

I run a mangaflow bullet in the I pipe. That got rid of alot of drone and rasp. You can still hear the turbo spool a mile away but it sounds very clean.

I would of thought the LT's and ORY would of been louder.Im In the process of going to the stock manifolds now after hearing all you guys talking about how much of a difference It makes.

The smaller pipes make it alot louder almost like cherry bombs.

yea i think the longer piping of the LT's muffle the sound more, cause even just revving it up this thing screams! i'll be putting a bullet muffler and a borla tip after the turbo to hopefully quiet this thing down a little...

i drove it to school yesterday and just starting it up in the parking lot freaked out a group of girls standing nearby! lol... priceless!

Why inner openings in truck manifolds are so different in size? Difference in area could easily be some 40% - why? Doesn't it cause issues when going for good power (because one bank will have higher backpressure)? Or do you just enlarge this opening to be equal to the second manifold?
