Regulating twins at 5 psi ?
Jeff
Also the springs can limit how high you can go so you might need to go higher on the minimum boost in order to hit a higher max boost. Eg a 5 psi spring may only let you go to 10psi max..pulling this number out of my hat..You would then need a 10psi spring to hit 15psi. Again pulling this number out of hat. Some guys shim the springs to hit higher boost levels.
To answer your question i hope they are small twins, and i would suggest the BIGGEST wastegates you can find. they bigger the gate the better it is at keeping boost lower. If you get two gates that are too small it will boost creep.
Yes, I was planning on external gates.
They are SC61's (.63 exh .70 compressor). Maybe 5psi is too low. Let's say 7psi. It's a stock LS6. Eventually I will lower the C/R but not yet.
What's boost creep? Where it's not blowing off enough PSI and it basically continues to build?
So you set minimum boost, not maximum boost? I guess I understood how they work to be incorrect. I assumed once a certian level is reached, it opens, blows off excess.
Thanks,
Jeff
