Where, and how did you put your iat sensor in?

When i make the sensor finger tight it is all the way in the pipe, so once i tighten it down a little more it should be all good.
I also would believe that what ever temp the air is in the pipe, the temp will be, so i dont know if it has to be directly in the airflow. Just my guess.

BTW.. Autozone stocks the threaded 3/8 NPT IAT. Just look it up for the 91 GMC Syclone/Typhoon as previously stated. $15.99 in the store.. lol My buddy got one yesterday.
I've always wondered about the Mcmaster Carr warehouse.. Figured it would be a monster. They have multiple warehouses across the country. I get stuff from them all the time at work. I've ordered some odd-ball stuff (from raw materials, to fittings, end mills etc.. ) and it always comes the next business day. I love that place. I ordered a bearing at 7:30 PM EST and had it at 10 AM the next morning. Cant beat em.

is the tip of the IAT brass on the 91 syclone fitting? I just picked one up and on the stock IAT the tip is plastic, and on the one i picked up from autozone that comes on a 91 syclone it's brass, is this correct?

Is the plastic connector gray or black?
I sell the threaded fast-response IATs and ECTs. The IATs are plastic tipped and brass bodied; the ECT is metal on the tip. Here are some images:

Just a heads up, I went to autozone and purchased the IAT for a syclone, and they sold me a coolant temp sensor, and I didn't realize it until I installed it and the plug wouldn't fit into the sensor. It sucked because I put the IAT in my IC piping put the pipe back on the car and after all that is when i realized it was the wrong plug. After that I took it back and told her they screwed up and she tried to sell me some other sensor that needed to be ordered and was like 30 bucks. Luckilyy a bunch of people posted the price they paid for their syclone sensor, so I was able to go off that to justify to her that she was tryin to sell me the wrong part again. In the end I got the right sensor and it worked great and i just dynoed 524 to the wheels at 11 psi.
