Need help adjusting my sts boost controller
I would turn the to the full counterclock position then turn it clockwise 3 full revolutions then test drive and adjst accordingly untill the desired psi. amt. is reached.
To ensure regulator operation have someone flip the switch to the on position while another person is listening/placing a finger on the regulator to make sure that they either hear or feel the regulator engaging/operating like a relay. Should hear and/or feel a click from the regulator.
It may be neccessary to test the regulator by blowing into the ports with the switch off and then on to ensure flow through reg.
Be carfull as switch casing may create a small shock when switch is turned on!
If no operation circuit diagnosis is in order, and if everything is working but not psi. adjust is achieved vacc. routing needs to be checked.
Not entirely sure on how much psi. is equal to one revolution but only turn it one revolution at a time to ensure you don't go over your desired psi. Once you get pretty close then turn by 1/4 turns.
On mine, 0-3 turns is the same (stays at 5 psi). Starting from when it's turned to the limit already, in the counter-clockwise direction. Then it starts doing something after 3 full turns clockwise. I put a white paint dot on the **** so it was easier to track when I'd made a full turn. Each full turn is about 2 psi on mine. (4turns=7psi, 5turns=9psi, 6turns=11psi) That's as far as I've gone with it, so far.
