dude if your 17 years old and making this, your a prog! Its trial and error. Fix what the guys tell you and repost some pics! i want to see what this kid can do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well it is stock exhaust to the turbo and the turo pipe is 2 1/4 all the connectors are clamped with t clamps and worm gear clamps plus the pipes fit into each other......and i am pretty good with the welder ii have to say.......

well i have not got it tuned but we tested it at 7psi ran good .... the turbo is a lil small and doesnt hit full boost till about 3500 or so then goes sidewaysnothing has blown off yet and tomorow will be first track day and i got my vortech elbow in and will put it on tomorow morning then to the tune .......and i am making the fitting for the maf and will put it up front soon ......i have spent a total of 1200 on the kit...and have not even scraped yet and i compared it to the sts it is acually higher........And i did replace the turbo exhaust pipe with a 3 inch ....

So its not tuned yet? But you have been beating on it and your going to the track. Your 1200 kit is going to turn into a 5000 kit when it blows up.

Dont beat on it untill the tune. Other than that, good job. Im sure you have learned alot from this project and the next ones will just get better. It take alot of ***** to build a turbo kit from nothing. Some kids make it a big deal to bolt up a cat back. Good luck!!!!

Well good you got it to boost up. Hope you have a helmet for under 13.99 and they may require a firejacket to race it at track, especially if its NHRA. You will also need to borrow some drag tires also. Later a higher stall converter can also help it build more boost off the line. And possibly dropping gears a bit to 3.42 or 3.23 might improve things. Still seen several turbo cars on boosted list doing good with 3.73s also. Be interesting to see how it dynos also.
With it working then of course take the time to do things up better. Real silicone couplings ,moving the maf to front ,fixing that intake..all the things you are working on are all good ideas.

Congrats on doing this at such a young age!

I'd look at replacing that thing in front of throttle body with a 90 degree silicone piece, then the MAF then a reducer. (You need the MAF on the pressure side)

Then get tuning
