TCI 3500 vs PI Vigilante 3200 single disc converter
I know this sounds like a transmission question, but it's more FI related.
I'm currently building my car (forged 347, stock 317 heads w/ springs, 226/223 115 cam, hi flo kit with a PT76GTS turbo and FMIC and a 4" cutout).
I just sold my TCI 3500 converter in favor of a vigilante 3200 single disc. I'd heard horror stories about TCI 3500's not holding much power over 500rw and I'm shooting for 600rw on pump gas through the 4l60e (it's built) I'm hoping 10-12 lbs will get me to the 600 neighborhood.
Did I make a good decision on this converter? I had planned on a th400 swap, but I got the converter for an awesome price and was hopin I'd have better luck hitting the goal with this one than the TCI. How would you guys expect this converter to react to the boost this kit will make?
