Default APS guys..... K-member question

Well i have the BMR K and the APS kit. I got the old K out, hung my manis and stuff and am bolting the K-member back in. Can someone post up what order they bolted the K-member up in? I'm struggling badly getting it lined up to the body. I have the new K connected to the steering rack, and both control arms, and have the control arms attached to the shocks still. But when i get one side lined up to the body, the other side is off..... any help, input, tips/tricks? Did you guys struggle with the K as well? Help please. Thanks!

so pretty much everyone has been having to pry the SOB over to get it to line up?You just get one side to line up to the body, get the bolts started, go to other side and pry like no other? Thanks!

Is it easier to bolt it up to the body first, then after its mounted do the control arms? That was one suggestion i've gotten, what order did you guys do it? Thanks!

i put mine on first then did the control arms the next day (started to rain) it was a bitch having to fight the shock and spring combo though. i had to basically disassemble everything and put the control arms with nothing pushing on them and reinstall all the other little ****. i dont know if that was the right way as the instructions stop after you put the K in. but i played it by ear and did it that way, no biggie, still got done.

haha, thanks for the help Eric, i got it in this morning. I unbolted the shocks again for the 50th time and undid the control arms and jacked the K up and it went right into place, then i put the control arms on after, went a ton smoother. Now i have one motor mount in and the other isnt lining up so i have to do some serious prying

A rag,Zip tie and a pry bar will work. The rag keeps the scratches away and the zip tie holds the rag in place for the one man shows

good luck johnny! installing the k member is a pain no matter what. i've always had the luxury of a hoist to do mine, and it still takes like 3 of us to get 'em in. one man controlling the lift. one man moving the table around that we set the cradle and all on, and one man going back and forth with the pry bar and putting the shocks into their holes!

can't wait to see it out in the spring, my car should be ready for the M&G, that's my goal!

I'm trying to figure out how all of these mass produced k-members dont fit properly. I dont understand how they didnt have trouble getting it to fit on a test vehicle.
