Intercooler and FAST.
Fuel system is done.
I think the intercooler will end up being the last item.

Well, the redo of the car got off to a slow start, the block ended up taking too long at the machine shop and by the time April rolled around I was 2 months behind.
I added another month of delay by deciding to go with FAST and a bigger intercooler.
But in the end the car will have a new pcm management system, new engine, exhaust, transmission, blower setup, and a lot of other little things. I also went T400. I also have 3.5" oval dual exhaust with custom Flowmaster single-baffle mufflers.

Good things (and fast things) come to those who wait. As I'm sure you agree, it's better to do it RIGHT the first time. My setup may take some serious time to complete, too. It's been 7 weeks and the block is just now coming out of the machine shop. But like I said, good things come to those who wait...

One thing that I probably don't stress... Is that I spent the money on the car to showcase some of the very cool parts that are available out there. I plow a substantial part of the revenue that I personally get from the site right back into the car. When this car is done I will plow revenue into a second project. So I don't measure the dollars spent on past combos since that's not what this is about...
And in this final revision of Project Dragula, we will hopefully see an essentially stock cube LSX go deep in the 9's while maintaining some streetability.

John,
You never made a post on why you decided to go with fast over the other solution that you were looking at.
Want to elaborate on the factors that influenced that decision? IMHO your car will be much better served by the FAST solution.

PSJ, you should be scared of this twin turbo LT1 Impala SS.....
http://www.measeperformance.com/ttimp.html
According to the builder (Keith Mease of MPE) it should make 1000hp with 24lbs of boost and run in the 9's!!!

Scott - In short, the TSI system is neat but it won't support a car that will see 100% leaded gas this year. TSI is a true piggyback. So it still needs o2's to tune closed loop. I plan to run straight C16 this year.
Brick, that's a neat project!

Hey whats up,I see you have a ys-trim on your LT1.I'm doing the same setup on a 98 Z.LQ4-LS1 408 stroker all jacked up..We're using the 8 rib belt and it's slipping at 4500, and destroying the belt when you make a run on the dyno..We are going to use an extra idler pulley to get more circumference around the blower pulley and mabye keep it from slipping.Where did you get a cog setup from??My 408 with only 15.5 lbs of boost made 630rwh and 785ftlbs of torque.Thats ok but I'll be happy when we can get the car to make 20+ pounds of boost which i may never get just until i go with the cog setup..what size pulleys are you using 8" -3"??So if you can direct me in the right direction..
Thanks Chris
