The stick is rumored to be on the '09 GXP model later this fall and hopefully they will also offer it on the '09 GT.
Great looking parts again .

Just stick cars at the moment..............most performance car guys in Aust buy the manual trans model.

I guess you are referring to an LS3 twin turbo system for the C6, is that correct?

I like the APS twin turbo systems very much. The only thing that concerns me is how exposed the actual housings are to the elements. I would personally be somewhat concerned with driving in wet conditions. I would rather have mine sitting in the engine bay or bumper somewhat more protected from ground moisture kick up, dust, and other nasty things that streets tend to accumilate. Not knocking the kit because it looks great, but I just dont think that its ideal for a daily driver in all seasons.

The low mount turbo position has been thoroughly proven over many years on many different car platforms................I first used this twin turbo approach on a GM based V8 in 1981 and the car is still running strong today.

One of the problems with top mounted turbos is very high under hood air temps (which hurts power under sustained full load conditions and is the main reason why APS avoids the top mount turbo position where ever possible) whereas the low mount turbo position dissipates the heat to atmosphere very quickly. Dust has never been a problem with the low mounted turbos as the air cleaners are mounted at the front on the engine bay, imho this low mount position is by far the best design approach for a daily driven twin turbo car.

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks for clearing that up. So driving in wet conditions would not cause these housings to pre-maturely rust faster than that of an under the hood mounted setup?

No problem, happy to help out where I can. The turbine housing life will be virtually identical if mounted under the hood or mounted lower down on the engine as in the G8 twin turbo application.
