Default Methanol Injection Before Maf??

Hey, guys, i started running my car with the 5.3 turbo swap, noticed that after the methanol had been on for a few seconds in boost i throw a maf code p102, the nozzle is before the sensor and i was wondering of it could be throwing it off, what do you think????

I have both of my nozzles after the maf.The methanol spraying threw the maf is most likely your problem.

Relocate your nozzles after the mass air.

Sure thing. Just place the nozzles after the maf and you'll be fine.

Think about it...Your MAF is used to measure air flow, not water/meth flowing over the sensors. Ever over oiled a K&N filter and had it get oil on the maf? Same concept with the meth...

i suppose i can see it form that way. yeah i had a dirty MAF from when I switched over to a 85mm truck maf and i thought i made a mistake. then i descreened it and found that it was caked in dirt and grim. once cleaned it was running perfect.

Resurrected! Instead of making new thread, can I mount meth nozzle before the maf if going to sd tune and the maf isn't used? I have an 04 so the iat is part of the maf sensor.

Yes. As long as you are SD, it won't matter.
