No, the turbos are journal bearing (much larger journal bearings than typical Garrett journal bearings) and very reliable.............no significant advantage with a single ball bearing turbo (DBB turbos are the only true ball bearing turbos) over journal bearing turbos on large cube V8's imho and this large custom turbo combination keeps the price of the entire F body twin turbo system very affordable.
