So... i guess this proves that larger cubic engines work very well with the APS kits? Makes me want to go witha bigger cubic engine!

Very nice car! Exellent build, i cant wait for higher boost!

You just watched my final goal. Faster would be nice but Im now focused on 10's for the LSX shootout. Next runs will be about setting my eboost mapping to get 10's all the time

Also hearing about a few guys with some problems with oil and stuff. Any problems at all with your kit? Local guy on our club has ordered the bigger kit and was wondering if I wanted to trade up snails. I think they are overkill for me even on my 408. I also think they would spool up quite a bit slower and want as much street powerband as I can get. I am very curious to see how muuch the small ones can do at higher boost. To see what is their limit .Did you install or get those high boost ducts yet?
We did not weigh it. But from what is on the drag tech section I took out 75 lbs. I have very good friends at the track due to the amount of cars we bring there (Business wise) and the people at the track like to see a street car bang off race car times I was going to back it up with another pass but we leaked alot of fuel after the burnout box. The bolt on the fuel rail backed off even with a lock washer. Luckly we caught it in time and I was able to get it sealed. Didnt have the right tools to correct it before the track closed. So I went ahead an loaded it on the trailer. I dont know if these oils problems are from persons not watching there install or what. I have no oiling problems that I know of. Hell the car doesnt even smoke out the exhaust Im in process of getting bigger turbo's and everything I need from APS. Thats when I will crank up the boost. These turbo's have enuff BP.

how about a break down of your mods/setup.
Do a search under my profile for all my mods. 12.5 is was eboost records. AFR 11.5 Tonight was on pump gas and meth. Transmission sounds like that because its a MVB.

I honestly think 18 psi on these turbo's will give me more headaches than they will do good.

Just proves you dont have to run such a high boost to get results.

Thanks Bryan. You guys built me a real nice engine. I am very happy with how it is holding up. Its still breaking in a using a little bit of oil but nothing I am concerned about. Im pretty sure the oil is in the catch cans Hope to see you soon

Well still be nice to see some numbers at higher boost levels with 402 and 408s. I am not overly worried as JMs car proves that you can go fast at even 12.5 so maybe much more is not needed depends on ones goals. And his car is pretty heavy for sure. Some guys will be a lot quicker if they have a light z28 or formula or weigh hardly anything. My car is going to weigh as much or more than JM's. At least in daily driver trim. Not so worried about weight anymore after seeing the results posted here. I think JM is also still running 4.10s? that also makes you wonder about the really low gear are better argument? And the aps are too small arguement for 402 or 408 is also pretty put to bed. Smaller turbos give quicker spool up than bigger ones and may give better wider street power band. For racing well the bigger ones can shine a bit there.

Hmm too bad you are upgrading the turbos ,did want to see what the little ones would do at a higher level. They might start choking out and maybe they would still do 15 or 18psi and yield 800 or so rwhp on the auto. Be curious to see what the spool differences will be between these and the bigger ones. Still betting it will be at least 500 higher possibly 1000 higher.

Again the poiint is well taken how fast does a guy really need to go and 12.5 is a nice low boost, should be easy on head gaskets too. I guess I might have to be the guy to try the aps standard snails at higher boost. Since I have a 408 and its forged a bit more boost should be no big deal. And Peter should have those new intakes out soon for us standard turbo guys???

His car is an auto.

yeah im next....hopefully .
Fired it up yesterday and it ran for about 30sec than some issues popped up so we shut it down...nothing major though.
Any of you guys have trouble with the passengerside Turbo Banjo fitting not sealing?? mine was leaking coolant and we tightened it up but after we got it running it started leaking again.

A 9-second pass is quite an accomplishment. I remember when we raved about 11-sec timeslips with these cars. Now 9-sec's seems almost commonplace, but it is quite an accomplishment with any fully dressed car
