yeah im next....hopefully .
Fired it up yesterday and it ran for about 30sec than some issues popped up so we shut it down...nothing major though.
Any of you guys have trouble with the passengerside Turbo Banjo fitting not sealing?? mine was leaking coolant and we tightened it up but after we got it running it started leaking again.
I had the same thing happen after I got mine fired up. Had a few coolant drips from both sides. Those were a bitch to tighten once in the car. I had to recheck them a couple of times. You have the copper washers in the fitting, right? They are just like brake fittings. But don't overtorque them or you will damage the washer and it still won't seal. If you still have the issue, I would try to source some replacement washers. Did you include those spacers on the pass side banjo fitting? That was one item I actually forgot so I wonder if those made a difference in sealing that connection. My coolant line would have fit a little better with the spacer in there, but still worked without it.
Hmm too bad you are upgrading the turbos ,did want to see what the little ones would do at a higher level. They might start choking out and maybe they would still do 15 or 18psi and yield 800 or so rwhp on the auto. Be curious to see what the spool differences will be between these and the bigger ones. Still betting it will be at least 500 higher possibly 1000 higher.
Again the poiint is well taken how fast does a guy really need to go and 12.5 is a nice low boost, should be easy on head gaskets too. I guess I might have to be the guy to try the aps standard snails at higher boost. Since I have a 408 and its forged a bit more boost should be no big deal. And Peter should have those new intakes out soon for us standard turbo guys???
Im not going to risk pushing a head gasket. Ive hit my goal. Nothing else to prove. Maybe to tweak the suspension more and get the 60's down. Transbrake is on the way!

Mine did the same thing. I just tightend it just a little bit and its been good ever since.

Thanks. I had alot of haters in my area saying it should go faster. But the little red wagon took care of business

Yes it will. I have still not heard from Peter yet on my cost. Still waiting.

But for those moments we do finally get to taste victory and satisfaction in what we have done, then wow what fun it is and I hope you continue to enjoy the car the way it is right now. It is nice to get as much enjoyment out of this victory as possible before pursuing the next level and all the bridges one must cross before getting there to that point. I myself can only hope to get half the success out of my APS setup. Congratulations once more on a job well done and earned.
Thanks alot. Last goal with this car is to get into a mag. Ordered new carpet and they are wet sanding and airbrushing it in two weeks. Thanks and I hope your APS system gives you happy times

What suspension parts you running ? You have a cage, subframe connectors ?
Congrats on the run by the way !!!
ANYONE know how much HP these cars can take befor you need a cage ?
Its not about HP. Its about how fast your car is. Look on the forced induction mods list. All my suspension is there.

You are not running a MVB, Your running a 4l60? Hell I dont even know what rear end you are using. Go to a 1/4 mile track and beat my time

Read above posts! lol

I could not run what I ran without the safety equipment. Period! I would not feel safe! Hope you get to run yours all out

Well we dont do much talking about corvette systems on here

I remember one of you guys had the same issue, just couldnt remember who...lol. yeah, i remembered the copper washers....torqued it down pretty good. i dont want to over torque it though so i may end up having to removed them and use something differant if we cant get it sealed. atleast its the passenger side and not the drivers...seems theres a little more room to work with....still a pain in the ***** though. Thanx...ill have some vids of it running soon.
sorry for the small hi-jack JM....

Dont worry. It seems to happen with EVERY APS thread!

Yeah you're right Rob Z. Tommy from Anger Management Racing got a Corvette into the 9's with the APS system on a STOCK bottom end. Here's a link to it!
Congratulations though! It was tough seeing the issues you were going through, but I'm glad everything is resolved, and it's great to see you accomplish your goal. Love the rims by the way!

I dont care about stock bottom ends. They are a ticking time bomb on boost. Its a badass car but this isnt the corvette forum! I have my Z06 to post on that forum!
