this was the second weekend out with it. thinking maybe one of the fastest stock short block passes.

the basic build is a STOCK 05 6.0 short block, STOCK l92 heads, crane 236/240 cam, tsp double springs, vic style intake, stock pcm, with a street tune only, gt-4788 turbo @10-12 lbs. No dyno numbers. but at a 3265 w/dr. and a 275/60 dr. now for the times
best of night,

1.36 60'
3.77 330'
5.82@119.52 660'

Why did you make the intercooler piping so long? What thought process went into placing it there?

the class we was building the truck for wouldnt let us have a intercooler inside. the other reason was weight on the back. to help percentages.

Very nice truck. I'm sure that's probably the record for an iron 6.0 block. The record for an LS1 aluminum block is I think a 9.6x.

It did go 1.35 60' on the 275/60s. Calvert split leafs and Caltracs with Calvert/Rancho rear shocks.

I like this pic in the bed...

Basically we were trying to keep the weight as far back as possible. We're still 54/46 but we're talking about an ERL or whatever aluminum motor to help offset some of the weight front to rear. Plus we're 65lbs overweight for one class, and 115 over for another and 140 over for another.... So anything will help.

You wouldnt think 400lbs would feel so much different but I can say for sure the S10 FEELS soooo much lighter than my Lightning. I'm glad I had the oppritunity to drive this weekend.

The weight distribution issue makes sense.

This is a very cool build and it must be a blast to drive!
Best of luck turning up the wick on the poor little 6.0 short block.
You and Parish sure like to beat on the stock short blocks.

Thats suspension works well in the little S trucks. I went 1.51 60ft with a 235/60r15 MT drag radial.
