I just coverted over some of my fuel stuff and I couldn't stop staring so I took some pics. I think my F2 is going to like it.

Wow, you jumped up big time in the equipment area. From a stock shortblock with a D1 to a LSX block, F2, and a sheet metal intake.

Nice

By the way, that is a very bad place to put the fuel pressure regulator. The number 2 injector is not going to have a steady fuel pressure because of the pulse from the regulator right next to it. You should relocated it so that there is at least 12" of line between the regulator and rail.

Are you sure you understand how my fuel system works? Fuel comes in the other end and exit's on the regulator side. When boost kicks in the regulator closes and all the fuel is pressured in both rails. It made 682rwhp with the stock block with no fuel issues so I'm guessing it works pretty well. If you still feel it's not set-up correctly please elaberate a little more, I'm always interested to optimize my set-up but I know a lot of set-ups work differently.

Yeah, I'm a firm believer in "If you have to replace something, do it right the first time"

Just based on your picture, I assume the fuel enters the driver's side rail, crosses over to the passenger side rail in the back and then hits the regulator at the front passenge side rail. Is that correct? If that is true, then are going to get some pulse from the regulator hitting injector number 2. Once you start to get some bigge boost from the F2, it is going to be much bigger of an issue.

Yep, that's exactly how it's set-up. I never heard of that before but it makes sence if the regulator is pulsing. What I don't understand is why would it pulse at wot? It should be fully closed, right? The shop I got the parts for this fuel system said it should be good to 950rwhp set-up this way. Now if what your saying is correct, I could always relocate it to the other side of the line, at the hard stock return line. That would give it an extra 2' or so.

At WOT or higher boost levels, the pressure built up in the intake is going to be pushing against the injectors causing the fuel pump to work harder to keep the regulated pressure. If the pressure drops below the regulated pressure, then the regulator is going to close so that the regulated pressure can be reached. The closing of the regulator will cause a pulse in the fuel. Not much and quickly
diminishes over distance. If the fuel pump can barely keep the regulated pressure under full boost, then there will be a lot of pulses. If an injector is near the pulse source, it will be very hard to impossible to get constant fuel pressure to it. The best solution is to have a nice big fuel pump and try to move the regulator away from the injectors.

I have two inline walbros with one on a hobbs switch. I'm not sure but I think I may need to go bigger with this new set-up.

If the pumps are 255L Walbros, you should be good. Are the pumps is series or parallel? I would also did the hobbs switch and have them on all the time. The F2 is going to make a **** load of boost and pretty quick, so you do not want to have any delay in turning on a second pump IMO.

there is negligable delay turning on the second pump provided the switch is reliable

if there was concern it could be triggered at lower boost or tps etc. no reason to run two all the damn time.

Any expectations on dyno #'s? LSX block and an F2, wouldn't that put you well over the 1000 hp mark?

That is a real nice set-up. It would be nice to see more pics of the whole thing when you get it back together.
