Any TC78's left at that price?

I probably should buy one now and get it over with, just want to know if I can get it at the introductory price still.

How would the S400-80 run on my front mount 408 in my 67 bird? Looking for a cost effective solution for a good 800whp or so.

Would run awesome. Also you might want to look at the Garrett budget GT80. GT47-80 comp wheel in their mid-frame package. Touch smaller then a S400.

Hmm, that thing looks promising. 1200hp rating eh? Will get me above 800whp then, motor will be built for it, might as well eh? How are spool times between the two?

Comp flow is 119lbs/min. The spool times are little quicker with the Garrett. 94mm turbine versus 96mm turbine and the A/R would be much smaller as well. 1.0 versus 1.3 for the S400.

Wow, pretty damn good flow out of that rig. I'll probably get the garrett then since the car will primarily be driven on the street, and every bit of spool time will help, not to mention it being a little smaller. Not that I'm hurting for room (was considering twin turbo), but it'd be nice and clean. Thanks for the advice!

DrTurbo - I'm in the proccess of picking up the parts for a stroker build, and just wanted your quick opinion on the proper turbo to go with. Here's the rough rundown...

383ci around 9.0-9.5 compression, the heads will come off my current setup and will be opened up a little more. Staying with the T-56, just like to row the gears too much to switch over to an auto. Large custom front mount... local guy can get a 4-core to fit.

I'm looking for boost to come on as fast as possible, don't want to spin the motor past 6250-6500rpm, would like to be able to hit 650-700 on pump gas.

I've seen a ton of LS1 builds, but very few LT1/4's. I was going to go with the 76GTS, then I came across this thread and thought the TC78 would fit my goals... am I wrong?

If there is a better unit suited for my application, please feel free to let me know what it is.

Also, does the TC78 have a BB option... looking for a fast as possible spool with the T-56.

Thanks!
