Default new setup and oppions wanted

misspelled opinions Opps

-347 Alum. Forged ShortBlock 10:1 cr
-TRT 228 228 115 Turbo Cam
-Stock 241 Alum. Heads with Valve Springs
-60# injectors, MSD BAP, 255 walbro intank

Looking to hit 600 rwhp or rwtq i got 524 rwhp and 557 rwtq with the 60mm turbo on 10 psi.. so i was thinking if i get the turbo cam and lower the boost i can do 5-6 psi and get 500 rwhp from that i have seen, so 600 should not be a problem i dont think...

>Question is, is the 60mm turbo going to be ok for this setup because i had it
at 10 psi but now going lower on the boost?

You can probably make 500RWHP on 5PSI with your proposed combo. Should also be able to achieve 600HP on 10lbs of boost.....provided the 60 trim can push enough air to support the HP. At 5PSI I think the 60 will be fine.

I currently have the TRT cam, Racetronix 255gph in-tank pump, and MotoTron 60lb injectors. Also running a boost referenced fuel system, TRT FMIC, and Patriot LQ9 heads (dropped my CR to 9:1.)

With the lower CR and conservative AFR of 11.0 to 1 I made 453RWHP SAE on 5PSI. Running 20* timing. SAE corretion factor was .95.

Car is also 2-bar SD tuned.

Hope this helps ya.

Running a lower CR is good if you want to make higer boost w/out fear of detonation. I'm a big puss trying to keep my stock shortblock alive...which is why I have the big CC chamber heads. But.....definetly lost some lower-end HP and torque from the reduced compression. If you're only planning to do 5-6PSI the stock CR will be fine. I'd lower it if youre shooting for 9+lbs of boost.

Anyhow, just my $0.02 Oh...and I'd definetly be running 10PSI on the street if I had a forged shortblock
