I did a dyno comparison awhile back with the ls6 vs the vic jr. The ls6 makes more low end and midrange power. Peak was the same on a 408 with a pt88 turbo on 10 psi.

I have personally seen Fast intakes leak boost! I would want a one piece intake on higher boost cars! i say stick with what you have!

Nasty98/Brian, so do you hit the track at all, like Byron or GLD? I'd be curious to see how it would run, you are making a lot of power. What kind of valve covers are those?

Default John

I am in the middle of changing the trans and changing some suspension, but I plan on making a lot of passes this year, I usually go up to GL, but just dont like how that track hooks, so I think I am going to try Byron this year.
Those are Nasty Performance valve covers.

The intakeelbows elbow is somewhat restrictive and its a bit taller then yours.

Im willing to bet yours is restrictive as its basically a hard 90 to fit under the cowl.

LS2's are pretty cheap new as well.

A different elbow also means cutting..

I dont mind cutting the cowl anymore, I have heard the Fast isn't the best option for higher boost applications because it will blow through the seals. So its Elbow, Ls2, or Ls6. If you are using a Fast with 16 psi or more I would like to hear from you.

I have Vic Jr and intakeelbow.com elbow, havent even used it yet and I'm second guessing myself . I already had a FAST 90/90 and sold the intake and kept the TB because I heard it wasn't good for boost as they may leak, and they have a weaker material compared to LS6/LS2 intakes. If you already have a 90mm TB, the LS2 makes more since and it's cheaper. If you get a new elbow or LSx manifold, I'd love to see the comparison..

The only issue with the fast intakes i have personally seen is too much power

One SC and one twin turbo, both made good steam and did not pop the intake like most say. One was 9psi and one was 14psi.

If the seal is a huge deal, fast sells rebuild seals to go through and check it out.

I ended up staying with the Vic jr. because it was already in the car and the cowl was cut for it and the car may go on to thumper stuff in the future. For a driver/sub 1k hp car I would say stick with the ls6 IMO. Either way you go the car will make power and be tons of fun to drive.
