Thanks for the link frcefed. I looked at that post the other day but it scares me. He said that he had his oil lines routed incorrectly and he had oil blowing by the seals.

I would rather just get a new one.

Only thing I have left to buy is the TB to Maf 90* coupler. Anyone know a good place to get it? Think it is 4inch to 3.5?

Once you get those vband clamps, let me know who is the company that actually makes them. It will be stamped on the outside of the clamp.

Want to see if they are the same ones that I got.

Don't know what kit you have looked at but mine was equal or better quality than PTK or other comparable kits. The stainless steel is actually cleaner and better quality than the virgin stainless steel manufactured in the US. Our country, instead of recycling this used steel, sells it to China, who melts it down, recycles it to remove impurities, and then produces a cleaner product. I've got pics all over Corvette Forum of my install and prestoz has also posted pics of my setup.
It was Mike Norris tuned and had no issues. Made incredible torque 450lbs and 400 rwhp at only 4lbs boost. FX Exhaust coated the hot parts and told me they were some of the best pipes he had ever seen. Monello, go for it and enjoy!

hey chris.. terry over at revxtreme said that they look great aswell, nice clean welds, great quality piping and super thick flanges.. at least 5 sponsors have seen either mine or your kit and have had nothing but positive things to say. that sure makes me feel good about buying it. monello, has any professioneal mechanic or sponsor seen yours yet??

quick list of sponsors who have seen mine or your kit
chris (whistler) fxexhaust
roy- aftermath performance
terry (TLewis4095) revxtreme
jeremy -j&j performance
mike norris - norrismotorsports

i was told by a few of them to run the turbo until the seals go

No one has really seen my kit in person other then some friends. I did buy a MPT 70 96AR to replace the turbo it came with. SOO many people said that the turbo it came with will explode and send pieces into my engine.

I will admit that some steel shavings came out when i stuck my finger in the outlet of the turbo that goes into the intercooler. If your going to use the turbo it came with, take it apart and make sure the shavings are all gone.

I broke mine down when I had them ceramic coated. Cleaned them, put them back together and no problems.

Ive been following these threads in attempt to pull the trigger to start a similar build, however it seems as if the only thing avalible on FleaBay is the hotside parts. Im aware that the turbo is junk that comes with the kit, but it would be nice to get the hotside, intercooler, cold side piping all in one kit.

Ive also found that there arent any 98-02 Camaro specific intercoolers on FleaBay either, where'd all this stuff go?

there is really no specific fbody intercooler, mostly everyone uses is conventional front mounts.

I was under the wrong impression then, so it looks as if a little fabrication is needed for the cold side.

Just found a kit that included the intercooler and purchased it. Once I get my parts I will start my own buildup thread.

FWIW, it will be going on a 393ci LS1 with fully ported 317 heads, TH350 and a 9". I have plans on running a MP-70 as well.

500 to 550 puts you in a whole new world. Say byby to your bottem end. with FI on a LS1 making power isnt the problem. too much power is the problem.

60lb injectors. and i would look into the duel intank 255s. but you might need a return feed on the fuel line. Lots of hassle. Read the fuel upgrade that mightymouse wrote.
