Exactly...I'm putting mine on the driver's side area. Just takes lots of time and fab, but you can make it work.

70 lbs.

I need to compare the dimensions to my GT47-88.

Thanks Tom and Stenod for helping out with this purchase!

Hmmm. I may as well pull one of my Stand by Thumper Turbo's (from my Ford Days) off the shelf and stick it on the new shop car. I gotta do something to keep up with the madness here on Tech.

-370ci
-8.5-9.1:1
-317 LQ9 heads
-Victor JR inatke
-91.5mm thumper (98mm, 101mm, ????)
-ect, ect.....

I could just call it the "Budget Thumper Build". As much as a build like that can be called BUDGET anyway...

Josh, you are worse than a woman!

You change your mind more than I change my socks. One second you have all the parts lined up for a sick shop car than the next minute you are selling it all and going back to stock.

Back and forth, back and forth........................ LOL

To hell with stock. Gas prices do justify me driving it much. Right now I am back and forth between doing a 25.2 chassis or a 10pt. Most of my personal cars are built on a 6 month time line. This one is gonna take awhile. I am doing it all myself.

Here's a vid I found of it:
http://media.putfile.com/Jim-Filipowski

I think Jim's best pass ever was 7.7x @ 193 with a 23 deg headed 368 cube sbc at 3400 lbs on radials and stock suspension. He sold it a little while ago but I'm sure he'll be back with another badass motor as always.

I wasn't planning to run the 106 with my 8:1 346ci, would it even spool? Sean what size turbo did Powski run, a few different ones? Did he run a 101/sbc combo?

John with a 348 you can spool a 106 for a full race car. there are lots of ways via timing/2 step ect. to get it moving... with my blow thru 348ci 9.5-1 motor on the engine dyno i could get 10.5 psi @3300 with a S88 turbo with 1.32 ex housing via my step retard and 2 step it was like 1 sec to full boost the only bad thing was i would over spin the water brake it was rated to 800lbs and i hit that instantly LOL ...
