Default Aftercooler leaks water into intake!

I could use some help from you guy's.
Long story short my Vortech Aftercooler had a 2" crack in the front of the case. It was between the 2 inlet tubes. Not too sure what happend. Maybee water froze in it during the winter.

It would leak water if I turned the pump on. So I took it to a welder to get the crack welded. I thought all was fine. Ran the pump looked inside and sure enough it was pooling up water inside the Aftercooler!

Crap what the hell do I do now?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
John

Call ATI and get a procharger

Just kiddin' man. That sucks. I always thougt the aftercooler was a great idea superior to the intercoolers, but in your case it certainly is not good. I would give Vortec a call and get a new aftercooler on its way.

The actual core in that IC probably ruptured in one or more spots before that case split. It might be ruined. If the water's not pouring out, I'd try one canister of Bar's Leak or AlumaSeal in the IC coolant circuit. If that doesn't help then you will need to remove the core and possible replace it.
