H/C is way less trouble.Get it tuned properly and you will have near stock reliability with an extra 100 rwhp.

I'm concerned about the octane rating here(CA) 91 more like 89 with all the crap they put in it
H/C is definetly more forgiving, but the cost is around the same, once you consider craftsmanship of the product you choose.
Stage II Heads and a Cam plus gaskets, t-body, headers.....ect to obtain good HP #s
Power does fall short N/A vs. Blown, Besides you can always add heads later.........depending on your Compression!
Still confused

Personally, I would go forced induction.

There are alot of h/c setups out there, but not all of them get you to 400+ HP. Despite what people like to believe, alot of H/C setups get parked right around the 400 HP mark.

A basic intercooler forced induction system WILL get you to 400+ HP without breaking a sweat. Not to mention, forced induction is just getting started at this point. Odds are, if you are already considering modifying your car this much, a year from now you are going to be back at it again. FI systems are easy to crank out more HP while a H/C setup starts to peeter out at 440 HP, no matter what you do to the car.

What Kevin said. That is the reason I am changing. Even going bigger all motor has its limits.. FI really does not have a limit.. Its just we have to wait for the learning curve to catch up with other cars..

Well, a 150 Wet Shot could take you higher. Don't get me wrong, I would love a S/C, but I am going with a H/C because with an M6 car, FTRA, Lid, MACS w/ORY, and an open Borla I am halfway there. It comes down to the money issue for me. When I do the H/C, I will also add the ASP Crank and maybe the LS6 intake since I am already paying for that labor.

If the S/C's came down 1 grand, I'd be loctited to the concept.

With heads & cam, you'll probably go faster in the quarter if you spray a 150 shot then a car with only a blower. But with the blower, you have the 150 extra horses all the time.

I did heads, cam, AND the blower. Best of both worlds. And an extra 250 horses all the time (no bottle needed).

Go with the blower. Then you can do all the bolt on's one step at a time.

I think the question is, what's your goal, what's your budget? There's no doubt that CA's gas would be an issue with an FI setup. But what are you trying to build? FI really isn't for someone trying to hit the 400 rwhp mark. It's more suited for 475rwhp and above. Below that number and I'd say it's not really cost effective, nor reliable.

Already have the Blower (Brand New), but I don't have alot of money in it(super deal). I'm looking for a fast street combo (Cobra killer). In the past I ran a Mustang with a S-trim, Heads gaskets are pretty easy on a 5.0 and so is tuning (10.73@132 on a stock bottom 302 and S-trim)
As for rear wheel power I'll take what I can get, without the compromise of dependability. I've been through the tuning pains of a 850HP Mustang with a Mondo J-Trim and a DFI. Finally gave up to pursue a more pleasurable past time (beating myself in the head with a hammer)LOL
Like I said I just want A fast reliable street car................Blower or H/C
