Those with ProChargers & Aftermarket Cooling Fans, come on in..
Alright, I'm getting the car ready for its tune while ATI does some warranty work on the headunit.
The car had over heating issues in cool weather with the stock cooling system and the ATI single fan, even with the A/C off. I just installed a Howe 2 core radiator last week and that basically eliminated all the cooling issues with the A/C off, however with it on and it being 90-100* outside I'm still running into issue.
My assumption is the single fan that comes with the kit isn't sufficient and I'm looking into aftermarket fans. What are you guys using or what do you suggest. Jegs has a few Permacool fans which seam decent but I was wondering what you guys are using currently, or would suggest?
Thanks for any input!

What type of CFM total (whether that be 2 fans combined, or 1) should I be looking for? 2800-3000 ish CFM?
I also need to consider clearance issues with the thicker 2 core radiator over the stock thinner single core.

First of all, make sure the ProCharger supplied fan is blowing the correct direction. It has been wired up to blow the wrong direction more times than I can count.
This is the Spal fan we use in conjunction with the ProCharger supplied fan for extremely hot climates.

I'll look into the Spal fan, it looks like it might work. You don't happen to know the CFM rating on the ATI fan would you?
Would the Spal fan be more efficient than buying a replacement for the ATI unit?

I have a single Spal 2300 cfm 16" fan on my new setup (iron 408 + F1-C) and so far with a Be-Cool & Mez elec pump it's running under 180*. It moves a LOT more air (noisy as heck too) and seems to be the answer but I haven't driven it in the heat yet either.

Bob, if I were to get that fan from you guys, is it just spliced into the current wires or are you running it off a switch?
That is what I was initially thinking of doing. It looks like if I did you would just have the elec WP on me (well I have a Howe radiator but still).
Mine is absolutely fine in the heat if the A/C is off, but it looks like I have an airflow issue at idle and low speeds with it on.

I had a local shop fab up a similar one that SDCE makes. So far so good, it works well. I'm using a LT1 radiator, 160 stat and water wetter too. The temps seem to stay around 200°. This is a new setup for me so I haven't given it a hard test yet with summer temps and running the a/c yet. I'm sure it'll still get warm but hopefully not overheat.
