Cog setup???
Bottom line, the cog was going to cost me about 1500 bucks and it was going to be a one-of-a-kind setup. Neither of which I'm a big fan of.
With the cog there came quite a few complications as well, bigger Bypass valve etc....
IMO, a properly tensioned 8 rib setup with a proper size crank pully (read: BIG), and a sturdy blower bracket, we should be able to spin these things to the moon. Why not, everybody else does without doing wild on the belt setup....
I would look into getting a custom tensioner setup from Chris. Chris is going to be looking at BigBos' D1 setup next week and might be coming up with an ATI-specific tensioner setup.
Cogs can run $1500 and the belts are as I mentioned in the $80-100 range. EACH.
A chain drive is even more fancy. Imagine having to break-in the chains. I have no idea what they cost, Ron Duke has a Harley Pro Mod bike chain drive on his black TA ragtop. That is a very fancy and expensive setup.
Just standing over the blower and looking at the pulley, when I rev the motor with my hand w/the throttle body I can see the pulley move a good amount, and thats not w/a lot of load on the motor...
I feel though once Chris takes care of everything the 8 rib is going to do the job...

a car trying not to have belt slipage? Also what kinda of effect will this cog setup have on the street? Cause
when I get to have my 348 done. I want no belt slipage.
Also my 12psi. There has to be a good solution for this promblem. Also a turbo isnt one of them. When I bought my
ATI there were no good turbo kits out. It was when Icon Twin turbos were going out of buiness. People werent getting parts and were really pissed off. ATI just came out and was getting all the praise in the world. It look like a clean setup and is. I love my ATI system. I just dont want to be limited to my boost. So lets get a good solution.
