Are there any Bolt on simple Low PSI Blowers???
I have a vortech V9 G trim in my closet, waiting to be installed, but need to save for the rest of the parts, and then some before i consider installing it.
i bought the pieces used, and pieced together the important parts.
Fabrication does not scare me, and if i can not find the inlet/outlet parts from the vortech kit, i do not care, i will build them.
That is about the only way you can have a blower setup cheap. Mine, if i did the absolute minumum, blower, brackets, pulley, and tensioner, custom intake/outlet piping, will run me $1200.
however the way i am going to do it, will end up being closer to $4000 with the rest of the parts.
This is one power added you can not cheap out on, and expect decent results.

The five-oh cars left "lots" of horsepower on the table, the engine was tough but low powered, like a tractor engine. There, a cheapo "Powerdyne" would show gains. Here in LS1land you have :all aluminum parts, fully optimized, high compression---you can't pump up an already great setup without numerous upgrades. GM left "little" extra horsepower on the table.
I too would like more "go" and I just picked up a used/never installed 3800 stall and am saving for a cam and long tubes and a 75 shot. That should way out-perform a cobbled up, 4 psi, used Powerdyne that knocks on WOT, throws belts, and runs hot and noisy in traffic.
Different solutions for different engines. These guys on this board are hardcore, they want lots of HP and are willing to spend for it. My rule :Always write a budget then 2X it and see if the upgrade still has the same appeal to you for your needs. Good luck.
