3.4 Whipple Build

3.4 Whipple Build
Sorry to get you guys excited but its not on an LSX car. A good freind of mine blew his car up 11 days after he bought it. It had 20k miles on it with a 2.2 KB, Solid Axle ect.
well instead of just fixing the short block we decided to go alittle overboard..
We did Custom Ross Pistons, stock Rod with ARP 2000 Bolt, new set of ARH headers, 3.4 Whipple, new clutch and 26 spline input shaft, Complete new fuel system ect.
car made just under 600 before. We are hoping for alittle more this time around.

Its a really good blower...we work with alot of those at the shop. I am actually the guy who builds the larger rear plenums.....but it looks like you have already done alittle work to the one you have I think you'll be really happy with it...800 rwhp should be no problem at all!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I knew I was in trouble when I bought a Ford, but I made that mistake for the first time at age 17.
The car is coming along nicely. We went with a return fuel system and yes they are 75lb injectors from RC Walbro GSS342 in tank pumps with a billet fuel hat and rails from Fore. I tried out the nylon braided line for the first time and WOW it is nice stuff.
The inlet was modified.... heavily. Hopefully it'll flow something decent enough to not be a restriction. It's a Gen II rotor profile 3.4 with the revised inlet so the throttle body is the restriction. We're running a 110 JLT MAF with a GT500 sensor and a MAFIA so that won't be the restrictive point, the single blade accufab will.
The motor is pretty built. We stuck with a stock crank and rods, since they're a 4140 Kellog and H-beam Manley from the factory. The pistons are Ross custom for high boost. ARP2000 studs throughout, and ARP2000 rod bolts as well.
For anyone contemplating this blower make sure you're running a STOCK lower pulley and a 26 spline input shaft on the trans. The aftermarket lowers are causing crank snouts to snap off behind the timing gears and your motor is gone. The stock lower has a crank support built in.
We'll get some numbers hopefully soon. I'd like to see 675 on pump and 800+ on race gas and high boost.
