Default Which turbo? Forged 347

I have a forged 347 engine, 9:1 CR with ferrea valves. I am going front single turbo but I am not really sure which turbo to use, I've been reading a little here but havent made my mind yet. I've never had a turbo car and would like to know which ones have worked for you. I want to get a journal bearing with V-band for aprox 18-20 psi on race fuel. I was thinking on Garret GT47 or Greddy T78, what do you think?

Thanks

Turbonetics T76 would do you just fine
or any kind of T76 equivalent as long as its a good brand, garret, innovative, etc.

Depends on the power level you are shooting for.

This is kinda OT but I am looking at a turbo setup for my 347 in the future as well and I wanted to know how much of a difference a Dual BB turbo makes in terms of time to spool. I know this is a general question but if you have experience with both then I'de love to hear some feedback. My goals are similar to the OP

i would get the st80, that will leave alot of room left if you wanna go real big... doesn't take much longer at all to spool over the 76's or 78's... well worth your money and a great turbo at that

Dual BB at this level is not worth the money. Also a st80 will not nearly as quick as a TC unit, although it will leave you more room to grow.

Ive been running a pte 67mm with a .96 a.r housing on my forged 347. Its a blast to drive on the street with instant spool time at 13ish psi. I ordered the new tc78 a couple weeks ago because ive proven myself i can only go 2months max on a perfectly good running setup.

TC-76 thats what I ordered 347 .

The 76 hits nice on the compressor maps for the 347

Why?

T6 would give room to grow. Selecting right turbo size will affect spooling.

Bullseye Power prepared Borgwarner Airwerks Extended Tip S480

80mm compressor Wheel

T06 Flange

$899.00

They also have various A/R's for them as well. People have made 1100+ hp on a single unit. I'm buying either two of these or two of the 87mm's they make, heard nothing but good things about these turbos and for the price you can't beat them.

Outflows a few similar size units like the comparable GT garrets.
