MPT-70.

Did me good for almost two years before I bought my 76GTQ.

Never had a problem, and it had its share of abuse! Running the wrong restrictors at first, pushing oil past the seals, smoking oil like crazy, running a bad BOV for a while, all the growing pains of being a turbo newbie.

Of course, it also had its share of runs on the highway at 9 psi.

It was a good turbo.

I've heard of bad quality ones out there.

I've also heard of Master Power having a reputation of being "uncooperative" regarding quality issues, warranty, replacements, shipping, etc.

None of the bad I've heard, however, applied to me.

The warranty issues have been resolved we no longer contract out the warranty work. Masterpower opened its own warranty center. Warranty turn around is 1 1/2 weeks now.

We use them on 5.3L builds and they work awesome. On a side note we run no restrictor at all. We found the smoking issue to be the PCV vent lie from the valve cover. Dump that to a canister and smoking is solved. Good turbo for the money.
