Did you wrap the power steering rubber hose that goes over the pipe? Is there anything in the pic that I posted that you would recommend wrapping?

Thanks

I'd wrap it just to be on the safe side. Looks good so far.

Im also interested where you got the cold side from but more importantly what bends and such did it require?

Wrapped some more stuff today. Mounted the chinese turbo it came with for test fitting. Once everything is lined up, i will be mounting the Master Power turbo.

Ended up having to take the stock fan off. Someone said that it would clear on the passenger side but i cant get a cone to fit over the turbo is the fan is there. So i will be ordering a nice one from summit tonight.

For people with the PTK kit. Did you keep the steering shaft off and put it in when you were completed with the build? Because i dont see how I can fit the downpipe in there with the steering shaft connected? Im sure once the DP it will be fine, but I dont know how I am going to be able to mount the steering shaft with the DP in the way.

Looks like the kit is doing pretty good so far? Hmm, cheap turbo kit alternative.

I bought a bunch of 3inch aluminized steel from a person on ebay. Its basically a guy who gets the scrap metal from an exhaust company such as borla or magnaflow. Basically whenever the company messes up a bend or doesnt need the rest of the bend they throw that stuff out.

At first i was a little nervous about buying it, the picture was basically a shopping cart full of 3inch pipes lol. But for 90 bucks I took a chance, and it worked out great. Plus I have a lot of pipes left over =).

Kit clears ok so far. Getting the downpipe bolted up was a HUGE pain in the ***. I dont have any help today so trying to hold 1 end and tighten the other was hard. Let me just say, its VERY cluttered behind where the turbo sits. You have 3 pipes all going in a small opening. Plus there are powersteering lines right next to them.

PM sent.....and good score on ebay with the tubing. I like deals like that. I found similar deals with 3ft sticks of 3.0 3 ply silicone hose, and 3.0 SS bends for my two FMIC set ups that I have done.

In post #86, NOW just by this picture it looks as if the wastegate is not gonna fit betwen the bottom flange and the turbo housing....

Now is that just the picture? Or is it tight?

definitely not, I *just* do get enough fall in my line back to the pan that I don't need a pump.
