what do you guys think. I was offered a trade of my full exhaust for a set of 2 inch kooks headers with header mufflers. I am wondering if I replace my 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step headers with straight 2 inch if I will see a power gain. Will tis change my A/F at all?

So you have 1 3/4 now? How much boost are you seeing? that might be a factor in the decision. And can you take those header mufflers off? If the price is right go for it.

depends on how restrictive your exhaust is now...going to the 2" would probably gain some peak horsepower no matter what on a blower car but you have to figure out if it is going to make you lose any torque in the mid-range which is usually what happens with larger primary headers. I'd talk to kooks about it to be sure.
One thing though is i'd make sure you have a present dyno of your numbers now and if you do the swap dyno again and see what the change is.
Hopefully it works out for you

Scott -
I have 1.875>2.000 Kooks step headers with 3.5 collectors and oval dual exhaust.
2.000's might work at the expense of some torque. My only concern is that you are running very little gear and not a lot of converter.
