Well if you really think you need plugs that cold, then put them in and see if the tuner can keep it idling. After that make your WOT tuning pulls and look at the strap on the plug to see if the color change is in the middle like it should be. I am guessing it will be so low on the strap you will not see a color change. Then you can work up on the heat ranges till it runs good and you see the color change in the correct spot.

Agreed^^^^^^^ Better to sneak up on it, if you have someone that has knowledge of reading plugs.

I'd like to know where you read that information. E85 is 105 octane so tell me how it can possibly be more likely to detonate?
I've had the chance to work with and have my car tuned by the leader in E85 tuning. Andy from Dynotune was one of the first to bring E85 to the performance field. He also tuned all 7 cars that were in the dyno finals in SEMA last year. All 7 cars were 1200-1650 rwhp and these guys were running TR10's. I think they knew what they were doing. So tell me how a car making 500-600 requires 10's?

I believe I read that info on the turbomustangs forum and on the turbobuickforums. I am not saying that I am agreeing with it, as I haven't had a chance to run it myself. I was just stating what I read on the forums, as well as what I was told.

I had a talk with Andy @ dynotune today. He said running the 10s would be very safe but alittle difficult to make idle properly. He suggested running the tr7s.

So what im going to do is,put in the tr7s and get it tuned on 93. Then im going to send Andy my completed 93octane tune and hes going to send me back an e-85 tune. He said he can always get it perfect on the first try.

Andy really seems to know what he is talking about and I really trust him when it comes to e-85. Im going to go this route and cross my fingers.
