Arrow Paging Turbo Gurus

I need a little help from the Turbo gurus.

I currently have a 522 CID fully built motor with twin ITS 72 mm Dual Ball Bearing turbos with 0.96 A/R, Ceramic coating on the hot side, X-trim turbine wheel.
It’s not a LS motor but the turbos don’t know what type of motor they are on.

I think I have a problem with one of the turbos where the turbo is blowing oil into the intake. Not too much but some and I recently learned that ITS has gone out of business.
This could be a chance to upgrade the turbos as well.

I’m thinking of getting either one of the PT76 GTS Dual BB, PT78 GTS Dual BB or SX80 Dual BB.
It will have to be dual ball bearing whichever turbo I decide to with. I definitely want to eliminate lag as much as possible.

What are the inlet, outlet, etc dimensions of these turbos?
Would I experience lag compared to the ITS 72 DBB with 0.96 A/R?
Does the PT78 GTS Dual BB spool slower than the PT76 GTS Dual BB?
Does the ST80 come with divided T4?
What are advantages / disadvantages of divided vs not-divided T4?
What specs do you recommend for the turbine and compressor to spool the turbos as early as possible?

I know that’s a lot of questions.

Thanks.

After reading about it, I started thinking about trying the SX80.

What are the dimensions of this turbo?
Inlet, outlet, compressor size, turbine size, downpipe, etc?
What can be done to increase the spool and eliminate lag on the SX80?

Thanks.

I think lag is the last thing you will have to worry about with that kind of displacement... seriously.

Man with a 522 forget going twin T4's...lol. I would got Twin ST80's with T6 housings. They will spool VERY FAST. 522ci's is huge and will spool whatever you want. Heck you could go with straight S80's and call it a day.

I can’t go T6. I already have my twin turbo system setup for T4, 4” inlet and 2.5” discharge. I have little room to play with the discharge and can accommodate a 3.0” discharge turbo housing. For the downpipe, I already have dual side exit 4” exhaust and I can accommodate up to 4” downpipe.

My rev limiter is at 6,500 rpm and the engine, heads, etc is setup that way.

So my question is what are the dimensions of the SX 80 turbo?
Around what rpm would they be spooling on a twin SX 80 on 522 CID setup on pump gas running around 12 – 18 psi?

Can you please post the dimensions of the ST-80 and SX-80 turbos?
Inlet, discharge, downpipe, compressor size, turbine size, overall turbo dimensions, etc.

Does the SX-80 come with the dual ball bearing option?

How much bigger is ST-80 or SX-80 compared to ITS 72 BB?

Thanks.

I agree with Dr. Turbo some S80's would be nice, all though some t4 380's with a 1.25 would work with out changing your exhaust flange. Thats a bad car!

More like 8.5 Liters with all the engine work and stuff.

I ordered a pair of Precision 78 GTS Dual Ball Bearing, water and oil cooled turbos with all the bells and whistles from Jose at Forced Inductions yesterday.

Thank you very much Jose for taking care of me. I can’t wait to get those 78 babies here.

The good thing with the 78 GTS is it will bolt right on with the current system I have so I won’t need to modify anything. I don’t have much room left anywhere in the car anyways.

1500 RWHP, here I come...

Did someone have a little mishap??? Black right fender, primer hood and the rest looks red??? Congrats on getting rid of the ITS turbos, and going with the Precisions. You will love them, very nice pieces. Sweet ride BTW, don't fret on it not being an LS1, anything with boost is alright in my book. Hell, a ride in a 450 WHP Civic opened my eyes to the world of FI quite a few years ago!

I decided to go with the World Challenge Series Comp Coupe body kit, GTS-R front fascia and GTS-R Hood with the bigger vents, etc. That’s the reason for the colorful appearance. And that black is factory primer.

I’m very excited about the Precision 78 GTS sweeties.

Thanks for welcoming me here. I used to have a red 2003 Z06 with a F1 back in the day.

Good deal, Jose will take care of it for sure. He knows what you'll need.

Jose was very helpful over the phone and tried to answer all my questions and also gave his recommendations on what will work and what won’t work.

I went ahead with his recommendation and ordered a pair of Precision 78 GTS Dual Ball Bearing, water and oil cooled turbos with 0.96 A/R, high temp ceramic coated turbine, latest and greatest turbine, all the bells and whistles.

How long does it take Precision on average to make these turbos?

If they have all the parts 1-2 weeks max. If they are waiting on any machining, then a little longer, but I think they have everything.
