Why 2.5 bar over the 3 bar tuning you have pushed for so long?

Looks like it will be another bad *** build Jim!

Just curious, why not start with a standard C6 instead of a Z06? Wouldn't it be waaay cheaper overall?

Thanks guys.

Venom- I've yet to try this clutch in a C6 Z so I can't say for sure how it will drive. We have one in dans twin turbo cobra and it drives nice in that car with very low pedal pressure. I would consider it overkill for a bolt-ons zo6.

Vince- E38 pcm has a 255kpa limit with the HP tuners custom operating system. What I 'push' is speed density tuning which is exactly what this is

TS6- Not sure how much cheaper it would be once I did a ZO6 body kit/paint/brakes/wheels/differential, not to mention if I decide to sell the engine the LS7 would bring a bit more than an LS2/3. (and I still wouldn't have an alum frame).

I would recommend the LS7 clutch

Really though, I ran the LS7 clutch in my twin turbo 01 SS and it always worked perfectly. It seems to be a very strong clutch so I wouldn't replace it with anything else unless you're overpowering it.

How much power were you putting through the ls7 clutch? What do you think is the most it can reliably handle?

Chris- You have no room to talk so I'll take that as a compliment

52172- We had the car close to 700rwhp on drag radials with no problems on the street (though the only time it was raced was on stock tires and 600rwhp and it ran 11.8@130).

Of course, slipping the clutch or crazy launches on slicks would be a different story.

Well I've got the Warhawk engine in place on the front cradle and replaced the stock driveshaft with the upgraded unit from the driveshaft shop.

Waiting on the external scavenge pump from Johnsons HTP and the long diff output shaft from RPM.

Attached are a few pics of the progress, including the new engine in place, the take-out LS7, jet-hot coated APS manifolds, the McLeod RXT twin disc and the Quick Time bellhousing.

I'm on vacation this next week but hopefully my parts will be waiting for me when I return.

Hmm, so that was your pump I saw Roy building the other day.

You will like the johnson pump, they are the best of the best!
