The turbine wheels are CHRA are different as well. But the comp wheels are the same. The name changes though are simply to reflect the T4 vs the T6. The price difference comes from the manufacture.

Just some facts we actually built this car the late fall of 2007, made it to Lapeer dragway for one of the last dates before snow, the car ran 11's with the S372 at 15lbs and got us kicked out. This was with the stock LS2 with 32k on it that made 749 at 15lbs.
we later broke the LS2 after the cam bolts got loose and sheared off, the cam was installed by GM without loctite as usual, we bent all of the valves, I then bought the take out engine out of 98k mile LQ9 engine that came out of Chris Blackburns TJ Built turbo Silverado SS, intalled my PRC dual springs and an LS1/LS6 cam with a Comp timing set, put about 4000-5000 miles on the car, went through two set of MT drag radials, burned up lots of $6 dollar per gallon 110 race gas, finnally ran 10's at 140, broke the first T56, after two years then the second one after one summer, We ran this LQ9 at 19lbs and as high as 22lbs on the street with four people in the car making highway runs from 50-145 many times, probably 30 or more passes at the track, 100's of passed on the street up to 140-145.
This summer we switched to E85 and 80lbs injectors, with the meth off I had to mix about 2 gallons of 93 to 9-10 gallons of gas to keep the afr's safe at 17lbs on the street. The car was running great on the street when I broke the second T56 trans about 4 miles from my house, I barely made it home using the only gear that sorta worked 4th gear.
We are still running the A1000 with the stock 3/8 line and the 5/16 return, I'm going to re-work the lines to a #10 supply and use the 3/8 for the return, also installing the Pump into the tank to make it quieter, I have an eliminator pump to replace the A1000, I might just do the line first to test it out.
I hope to have the car at the first Detroit No ET race in 2010, with the newly Merchant Auto built 4L80E and 5 disc Precision converter.
Keep in mind the rear in my car is still stock and original IRS with almost 37k on it.
The car weighed 3950 with driver before the trans change, no cage
I'm Hoping for a high 9 second run with E85 and maybe a dash of race gas if needed.

Wow bringing it back up, yes it still runs strong just now on E85 with no meth. It has broke the third T56 just a little while ago, so the 80e is being built now. Eric at Merchant auto is rebuilding the 4l80e and it will get a Vig converter. Should run 9's next season.

we boosted the stock LS2 up to 17lbs with both stock (LS2/LS6) Valve springs, then later with the dual PRC springs. everthing was good until the cam bolts walked out and sheared off on the highway rolling into boost in 5th gear with four people in the car.
The LS2 was always run with 55lb Injectors on 110 race fuel with meth.
I have taken the 98k junk yard LQ9 up to 22lbs with the same set up.
I have only had the LQ9 up to 17-18lbs with the E85 and no meth 80 lbs injectors.
I'm in the process of updating to a built 4L80E and fuel line and pump upgrades.

We could not make a kit like this to sell and make money. First you have to do some cutting, as this is not the run of the mill turbo setup like an APS. It has a 3.5" down pipe, 2.5" cross over and 3" cold side piping.
Send us the car and we can build a one off setup to meet your needs though.

This thread gives me hope on what my new build can run
2004 GTO
LQ9 370 Forged
4l80e Rossler Trans brake with FMVB
Custom Rear Mount BW s475 83mm 1.10 A/R
2-step
75 shot off the line
How much boost do you think we can run with the 225 AFR heads before lifting?

Still stock engine, went 9.9@141 at No ET a couple months ago.
I think it finally bent a connecting rod though when Dave turned it up to 25psi (on accident he says lol) a couple weeks ago. He has only pulled the heads so far and the pistons and cylinder walls look perfect.

My wife wont quit reading this thread. We are putting in an LQ9 into her 4x4 silverado and she wants to turbo it (probably twin 60mm HE351cw's w/ 9cm exhaust housings under the bed). Its gonna be running around 10-12psi on E85. She is excited..... now she is gonna beat my diesel......

well i made 525hp at 14psi with a 1999 stock short 5.3 through a stock 4l60e and vig 3600 and 9" rear (yes trans was slippin like a ****).... then i turned up the boost to 17 psi on 91 octane pump gas no meth and installed a built th400 artcar 3k stall thing moved out! No dyno numbers after i turned the boost up and installed a built trans/converter..... I put probably 10k on it with probably 300+ wot runs on the highway then i sold the setup to a guy recently and it to put down 609hp at 12psi with the trans/motor/stall/10bolt....
that 100% stock shortblock is still running like a ****! The tune has alot to do with it 15* timing/11.2-11.5afr/iat timing tables set to pull timing/keeping the rpms low (to name a few)!
Now this thread has me thinking about building another stock shortblock boosted motor lq4/lq9 this time though! Anyone wanna buy a 390hp ls1 & built 4l60e/vig 3600 triple???? LMFAO
