500 HP in a 4000# car will get your feelings hurt in Houston. Not just by Mustangs, but civics, Rx-7's, other LSx based GM's, Supra's, Neons and a host of others.
Ehh, whatever...I say every race you embark on, you race them for money.
People no days can not take a joke. If you look at the little smile face thing you kind of get the idea that it was not meant serious. It merly states the fact that in my area people with simple bolt on stangs think they are the **** IN MY AREA!

And my car does not make "less" power. I built my car little over a course of a year on a 20,000 yearly income hear in the army, its not street based race car it is an every day driver that has 109k on the clock and still gets over 20mpgs. Let me see a car that has spent as little as money as I have and I will and have raced many times for green backs!

Yeah it is fun on the street, I just spin wheels all the way to 80mph.

I also had my old 3inch y pipe with cats taken off and went back to a 2.5inch y into 2.5 all the way back to the turbo, It helped spool time and I got back some much needed ground clearance. Trying to go to the track today and get some numbers.

I cant seem to get any more than 9psi out off the the baby 67mm turbo.

Wow, didn't know the only response I was allowed to make was in the positive.
Silver, your comment was not a joke. You really think that 500 HP is the zentih. Again, I'll say always race for money.
I'm not a "Mustang" guy (whatever that means) but I do own a Mustang as well as a GTO. Also own a Suzuki and my better half is in a Mercedes. So now what am I?
Oh and as far as being smoked by an LS1, I can honestly say NOPE not ever. Lost to an LT1 about 12 years ago when the Mustang was pretty stock.
Anyway, have fun with all that power. Remember ALWAYS race for money.

500hp is childs play but it is all i can aford at the moment. Does not matter what kind of guy you are I dont care, but when you take offense to someone and post negative comments in there own thread it is kind off a dick move. I have a suzuki bike too, Your point? Dont care if you own a mercedes either, I am only 21 and have a job already lined up at a research facility after I get out of the army, one deployment is more than u can say.
Anyways lets just go are seperate ways and be done with it. Thanks.

Congrats on the #'s. I'll say one thing to mr. houston. Your obviously caught up on dyno #'s...is that what you place your bets on? Dyno #'s dont mean **** on the street...its what car works better. i dont care if you have a 1200hp mustang,ls1,civic ect. That dosent mean its gonna beat a 500hp STREET car that hooks and leaves that dyno queen spinning praying for traction.

I got some bad news, I went to the track last night and made my first run on the new setup that ended badly. On my first run the car took off fairly decent but for some reason the boost did not hit till the very end of 2nd and was very minimal. I thought it was because maybe the turbo was not hot enough. Well I made another pass about 20min later, took off and I felt a severe lack of power like I was in a 4 banger or something. It ran smooth but no power and no boost. I get back to the pits because I knew something was way wrong. Check all connections and piping, wires, plugs and still notin. So I was like **** let me check to see if the turbo still spins, and low and behold the ************ is locked up. The turbo wheels looked good on both ends and oil came out the drain when I disconnected it. Same with the feed line. I am completely baffled on why this happened. The turbo only has about 8,000 miles on it. So now I am **** out of luck on a turbo for awhile.

Dont know if I can get it rebuilt or if I should simply save for a bigger one? Any input on the matter?

Save for a bigger one... Keep it 8psi, until you have a short block done... And then have all the fun you want.

The only thing I can tell you find out what caused it to stop spinning. Dirt is the number on killer. Did you ever clock the turbo at some point is the housing tight on it? Dose your return pump work? and dose the check valve work? But the culprit can be somthin it suck up and seized it or very lack of oil.

Nice numbers with a relatively moddest setup! Shows that you dont have to put an ungodly amount of money into a turbo car to have a strong running setup, especially if your planning on upgrading the rest of the car in the future. On a side note way to be a dick and say you want to beat down some local mustangs...how politically uncorrect and of all things on a GM car forum...

Think i found the culprit. Took the exhaust housing off the turbo and found the bottom of the wheel all chewed up. Something sure did go through. It had to be a piece of welding slag or something. I just had a different y pipe installed the day before so that had to have done it. Guess once the wheel got chewed up it through the balance off and seized the bearing.

How can rearmount people prevent stuff like this from happening?

Easy run a good filter like KN remove the cats. Slag will kill it quick. I would remove the Y and get a flash light and look in there.
