BONE Stock LS2 bottom end, Stock heads except for springs/retainers tiny ecs blower cam, little P1SC head unit, best of 713rwhp and 645rwtq @9psi of Boost only NO N2O... Too afraid to spray it at the current level, I don't think the bottom end will take the shock. When the forged 402 is finished we may give it a pull on the spray just to see what it does for sh*ts and giggles...
30,000+miles on this engine with 620rwhp and 518rwtq being the lowest power, and adding and changing a little here a lot there, to get it where it is... Methanol and a good tuner are it's best friend... The Tranny did take a big dump and it's under the knife now...
We built it for the high speed stuff, hope to make the Texas mile in October...

402, L92's, GMPP intake & elbow, and F1C coming soon...

Well i recently picked up a 6.0 LQ9 block and about to send that off to the machinist to get it cleaned up... Picked up some 4.030" diamond boost pistons and looking for some compstar rods soon... After that I'm going to get the bottom end balanced, bluprinted, and assembled. then it's to sit in the side of the garage until I can save enough change for some ETP 245cc heads... I'm going with a Eldebrock intake with elbow and probably stepping up to a BS3.. I also have to get me a 9"...

On a side note I have to pull my TH400 and install a RMVB w/TB because the SOB that I bought it from lied to me and sold me a FMVB TH400... All of this has to be done by next season cuz I have to get her track ready... There's other things like fuel that I haven't completely committed to (already have 255 walbro) but am getting close in my decision. I'm thinking of going with a Magnafuel or Weldon pump with Nasty sumped tank. Take care guys and goodluck to you all..

Also stepping up from a D1SC to an F1A once I get the new engine broken in..

Mine is just sitting. I started spending less and less time with my wife while messing with my car...going to the track a lot etc so I got us a maxi-scooter (suzuki burgman 650) to ride around on during weekends. I am also kinda burnt out on the whole car thing. Ill just park it awhile till the bug hits me again and enjoy cruising the mountains with the wife until then

Fixing a oil pan leak, getting 3:23 gears installed and getting another fuel pump installed then off to get a tune.

Those Burgman 650's are a blast! I hated working on them, but loved the test rides, I have been well over 100 mph on them. I always wanted to take one to the track form some bracket racing, leave it in auto, brake torque it and go! Very smooth and consistent.

Similar story to cablebandit... I had some valve issues that I took care of, then got sick of trying to get the tune even close with the stock pcm. So I gave up on it to spend more time with the wife and kids. Started to realize that I was lucky she hung around for so many years of me being gone or trapped in the garage. Figured I'd give her some well deserved attention for a while till the bug bites again. I bought a FAST XFI kit, got it mostly installed and now she sits again... One day I'll get it goin again.

My car just came together recently. I'd gathered parts for the better part of 3 years. T76 first, then forged crank, then rods, etc, etc. It's my daily driver here in Houston, TX and it's an absolute dream. Docile to drive, no surging or bucking in traffic whether bumper to bumper, school zones, etc. But press it down and get into the 14 psi, day-yem. You'd better keep it pointed correctly because it's flying. I'm dyno'ing it tomorrow morning for the first time (designed/Setup for 600+RWHP). After that, I'm driving to San Antonio Raceway for the Street Brawler Shootout on Sunday. I'm hoping to trap in the 131mph range.

UPDATE: back from the dyno
12 psi in 97 degree, 40% humidty, Dynopack dyno
571/574 Rear Wheel Tq/HP respectively.

I got all the bugs out and quit dicking with it. Been running fine all summer, and last summer. It's hard to not mod but you've got to say enough is enough.

Our car is 90% finished. We've ran it at the track a couple times and working on the new car bugs. Fastest we've been is 5.0 @ 150 in the 1/8 and 7.6 @ 189 in the 1/4. Its a 438" LSx with a 106mm turbo.

Mine is sitting in the garage- it overheats too much if i try to drive it in the heat I got a griffin radiator but it needs a new filler neck welded on and i just havent gotten around to getting that taken care of- been super busy with work and other projects- like buying parts for my 69 corvette I got in april. So far I've got an LS7/ T56 combo sitting in my spare bedroom waiting to drop in as soon as i get the chance... But thats a bit OT for this thread since its not gonna be forced induction lol

Unhappy

Wow.. Where do i begin.......

Last May...... not 3 months ago the may before that i lifted the heads really good at the track and blew a head gasket wich took a piece of the Pass side head with it.
I was just going to replace the head gasket before i saw the pistons......

They were moving back and forth it the bore and slightly ""Polishing the Heads""
So the motor came out of the car....... and it sat..... for a while..
I sold bits and pieces off the car.
I have a A2W IC now that will go under the dash since i want to keep the Pass. seat.
Ditched the stock PCM for BS3.
Ditched the Spohn TQ Arm for a Madman unit.
Ordered a new set of Custom JE Pistons and a New 4" crank.
A New set of World Heads set up for solid roller......
Everything was going along smoothly....... until something more important came along....
Last Sept. 15th my Son Logan was born and $$ went to something more important.. Him.
I slowly have been doing a few things with the Help of Shawn @ VA Speed.
He is a close friend of mine and has really helped me out.
I havent even touched the car in the last 3 months. Damn Work
We talked about going with a 106 instead of the FI 91-55 i have right now, but the buyer backed out and i still have it...... sooooo..... Im not sure right now.
Im hoping Spring.... and i should be able to put in some hrs now.. so hopefully it all comes togeather.

Kyle

Similar to NA$TY-TA, my twins where born on Dec. 17. My wife had complications from carring them full term, then my baby girl got pnemonia I guess on the way home form the hosital so it was back again for another week. So my almost finish build dead stopped until I can get all the hospital bills paid off. I just sold the turbo last Mon, going to move her in a slightly differant direction when I pick back up in a few more months. Less track oriented and more towards street fun/maybe road racing.

Although i haven't been around as long as some people, heres where I am at..

Finished the car in May, had it tuned to numbers in the sig.
The stock bottom end (knocking on wood) is still alive!!!
And (again knocking on wood) i have had 0 issues with the car.
There are a couple more big car shows in the area, so i am waiting until they are done before i "finish" the car.

Plans coming up:
370" lq9 with a good forged bottom end. (stock short block arrived 2 days ago, already at the builder )
AFR 225 heads
9" rear w/ 3.70 gears
Full suspension
Some kinda 15" rim and tire setup for the track and sometimes street
turning the boost up to the 7XXrwhp range.

Car should be completely done next spring.

I would also like to thank everyone on this board that has came before me, researching this forum really helped me a lot when planning / building this car!!!

Good luck to all.

--Mike
