Default Worlds Fastest C5 Corvette???

Customer brought us his 04 C5 corvette in hopes to be the worlds fastest IRS corvette. Just thought some of you might like to see some pics of the build in progress. Setup is an LSX 408ci motor with ET 265 6 bolt per cylinder heads and twin 78mm ball bearing turbos Everything you see is fabricated here in house. This setup will be making 2000hp and still have cold blowing A/C!

What transmission are you guys planning on running? Will the project be running an air/water intercooler?

That is some great fabrication work.

We are working with two customers now building some F-body's with 6spd going after the Viper and Supra 6spd guys. Both from Texas....guess they want to visit the Viper/Supra shootout next year in Texas.

I would love to see Steven or the Ohio Boys or somebody throw it down with a 6spd.

I think they are working on a M6 Twin Turbo F-body for that reason. I could be mistaken. Maybe they will chime in. They posted it in the Texas section a while back.

Where does it say that we are limited to 8.99? We are shooting for rock bottom eights with this project. It still has the factory IRS setup but it has a TH400 transmission conversion. As for the intercoolers it will have a 1000 HP A2W intercooler on each turbo. The radiator will actually be underneath the car in the rear.

I posted earlier that I thought the it would be limited to 8.99 because of the IRS, but I deleted it since I am not sure as to the limits of the IRS. What is the quickest qtr mile time with an IRS vette? I havn't heard of anyone breaking into the low eights before? What all is done the beef up the IRS? How do you control the wheelhop?
