Ok, so here's another kinda newbish question since I'm fuzzy on the differences of ar ratio's. What is the difference between the 1.1 and the 1.32 housing? Obviously the larger has a little more top end with a slower spool, but, how big of a difference is it really? Taking traction issues out of the equation which way would be better to go?
I see total max capable power is 50 horse more for the larger one but how much of a difference will it make when not working it as hard like at what levels we're talking here?
I guess basically what I'm worried about is that I'll have a harder time hitting the numbers we're talking by going with the smaller ar ratio.

The difference is just the backpressure of the smaller housing. 50hp isnt **** up at the 1000hp limits of the turbo. Some pick up more than that by switching to the race cover on the compressor side. Up to say 7-800hp i dont see it having any difference at all. Basically, if your wastegate is open, there is no difference. Its when your holding the gate closed and really pushing the turbo that these differences are apparent. The smaller one is definately the way to go.

Ok, here's another thought since I'm everyone is being great tolerating my questions. What will this setups useable powerband be? I can tell what the low side will start at but where will it run out of steam? I suppose really what I'm wondering is that am I going to be overgeared when I go to the track. I have 4.10's in the rear now with a 28" rear tire.

And sorry about the ebay links, I apologize

WTF else am i supposed to do? No sponsors or anybody else on here seems to give a **** about this guy so thats my only option.

Useable powerband will depend on your cam and springs. Stock, 26-2800 to about 6-6200, z06 cam, 2900-66-6800, anything bigger its up to you and how comfortable you are spinning it high.

Anyhow, here's my plan. Swap in the lq4, add a stock ls1 intake, most likely flipped cts-v manifolds, and do a budget turbo setup.

why the ctsv manifolds? I'm wanting to do the same setup on a 68 camaro and was planning on using the 6.0 mani's. will they not fit? I'm really liking the single turbo idea.
