Default 100 octane vs. 93....with my setup...

I'm running a 9:1 compression 6.0L 372c.i. motor....ATI procharger, D-1SC with 12-13psi when all said and done.....I think the car can be safely tuned on 93, but would I see any better gains tuning for 100 only with 12psi....

How much power is your car making on a 93 tune? What does a nice locked third gear pull look like? Hows your car running? I know you've got your *** in it just like me. Well you even deeper! We should hook up sometime. Ang

Right now, I don't know the exact dyno details, I wasn't there when it was going on...maybe intimd8 can chime in if he sees this post, he is the one doing the tuning over at Speed Inc.

What I heard so far is 490-500rwhp and 6??rwtq...thats on 93, not sure how far into the tuning that is, not sure what PSI that is either...

I'm having belt/pulley issues, the car is going into chris sikoras as soon as PSJ's car is out of there....the car is meant to see 12-13, I think its seen a peak of 11psi with the filter on, not sure how high it was pulled on the dyno either....

I'm also dynoing through a TH400 w/a nonlocking 3500 converter, through a 12-bolt on 27" QTP's...

Are you driving the car now? How does it feel, run? You'll know if it has 600rwtq. How much boost do you see on the street? Just curious, since I see this all day long?

How much power does the engine make without the supercharger?

I've seen about an 80-90 hp difference on a FI ls1 compared 93 to 100, could have been higher octane though

I'm putting as many miles on the new motor as I can for now, I've been running it on 100 octance since I've gotten it back, its not fully tuned yet, and its been damn hot around here....the car drives great, and it idles like stock, using a 214/218 .540/.550 114lsa cam

I haven't taken it WOT yet on the street....

I'm not sure what the motor is making w/no boost, we never dynoed it....

Just was asking because I am fixing to do something with my 6.0l in my garage, just don't know what yet. Good luck with that beast. Ang

Yea, I have no regrets w/the iron block so far...

Just run a CAS radiator and a Spal 16" fan and you will have 170-180 degree temps, not sure if that will be the same w/the turbo manifolds glowing under the hood though....

TTT on the 100 octane tuning issue...

I want some more opinions....

We all know why the manifolds were glowing, no timing. How about we lock something in for the next RSD's. I will be on a DR so I expect some spots. $500, maybe. A friendly wager.

I don't have the cash bill, but I'm sure it will add up to it with what I will be paying for gas...

TTT, I'm sure there are many more out there who have their car tuned on 100 octane...
