Could be...I'm not real sure. I had my headers/crossover sandblasted and recoated silver. I'm not sure what the stuff is, but they were white and less than 1/8" in diameter. There were 3 that I saw stuck in between the primary tubes meeting the collector. We tried to blow it out with air, poke at it, etc and couldn't get it out. So far so good...

i dont think the bead could physically make it into the engine. the exhaust does not go into the motor, it just spins the impeller. im worried about the impeller being chipped, shattered, or thrown off of balance. causing the turbo to come apart and into the motor

Presto, are you the one that had sent something to a "coater" that didn't call back, went on some trip, and then left your pipes to be picked up outside his shop?
If not please disregard!
Also, do you ever go to any meets in SFL because I don't think I've ever seen your car?

Those beads are now coated and pretty solid though, air tool does nothing and you cant squeeze them. If one hit the blades, I would think it would do dammage.
Jim, if you look back up the header threw the collector, there are those crevices up there where the primaries are welded to the collector and thats where they get lodged. Some of mine where loose enough that when I hit it on the ground a little, some fell out on their own.
