ARP Header Studs
The LS1 header stud sets were back-ordered through ARP, but it turns out that the DSM studs are the same specs as LS1 studs. Here is a link to where I got mine in case anyone else is interested, http://www.ffwdconnection.com/dsm2.htm
These studs are 1.75" long, but I believe there is a 2" version available as well. The quality is great, they even have a notch on the top of the stud so that you can thread them in with an allen wrench.
Thought you guys might be interested since these made installing the headers a snap. You can 'hang' the header on the studs and don't have to worry about lining up the gasket or the bolts. You can also really crank down on these without fear of stripping.

Alot of the "import" accesory studs will work for many of our bolts. I guess that's one of the side effects of having all metric bolts.
They even make ones to accept larger head thread sizes. Stripped header bolt threads is a common ehough DSM problem.
The other thing about a metric car is that I usually have the right socket.
