LS9 Short Block

LS9 Short Block Will the LS9 be available as a short block and do you guys think this would be a good option vs a custom built short block? Could be cheaper with great durability due to design features like the piston oil squirters. Would this be a good choice for a street car with very limited track use.

I dont want the entire engine, just the short block. I was just wondering if this would be a good short block vs. having an aftermarket build done for a weekend driver or will GM possibly price the short block so high that it wouldn't matter. I was just wondering since it was designed with boost in mind if it would be a good bottom end to build from?

The LS9 block is pretty much an LS3 block but it has oil squirters shooting under the pistons. Wanting a stronger bottom end makes sense, but I don't think you need to shell out that much cash.
Crazy part is about the LS9 is it uses so many parts from other engines. Even the 133 less horse LS7 - they share exhaust manifolds.
